Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB) is the exciting new mental health partnership chosen to deliver mental health services for children, young people and young adults aged 0-25. Led by Birmingham Children’s Hospital and combining the expertise of the Priory Group, Simplify Health and the Children’s Society, the service completely shifts the way that mental health is viewed and delivered for young people. Access Centre Clinical Team Lead

A key role within the Simplifyhealth team, the Access Centre Clinical Nurse Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring that high quality, clinically necessary care is being provided in the most appropriate and cost-effective therapeutic setting as part of Simplifyhealth’s managed mental healthcare model for the exciting new partnership, Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB). This role will offer a significant career and leadership development opportunity for the right candidate. Candidates MUST be educated to degree level or equivalent in a mental health related subject with a relevant professional qualification and have a current and active registration with the Health & Care Professions Council or equivalent.

Clinical Specialist 

A brand new and key role within the Simplify Health team, the Clinical Specialist (CS) (also known as Utilisation & Intensive Case Management Clinician) will play a vital role in ensuring that high quality, clinically necessary care is being provided in the most appropriate and cost-effective therapeutic setting as part of Simplify Health’s managed mental healthcare model for the exciting new partnership, Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB). This is a pioneering role in developing the future template for mental health provision in the UK.

Our roles for our Children and Family Health One Stop contract are based in Guildford, Surrey. For all our roles, we’re keen to hear from individuals looking to work flexibly, on a part-time or job share basis as well as those looking to work full-time. Child Health Specialist

Working in the Children and Family Health One Stop, you will be managing incoming calls (referral and enquiries). You will also facilitate case flows within the service for allotted appointments, clinician advice, rapid clinical triage and professional referrals. You will be the initial point of contact for clinical queries, providing appropriate advice and guidance, and navigating the referrer/caller to the right care pathway or service in a timely and efficient manner with the aid of the Service Directory, in order to ensure the One Stop operates a no wrong door approach.

Senior Clinical Specialist UM

This is an exciting opportunity for skilled mental health practitioners to use their clinical skills in a new, challenging and strategic way to make a real difference to people’s lives.  As a Senior Clinical Specialist (UM Clinician), you will be primarily engaged in staff facing interventions. In collaboration with local CAMHS teams, you will review the flow into and out of community CAMHS services. You will support effective care planning and discharge/step-down planning to ensure care delivery is clinically appropriate and justified at each level of care.

Senior Child Health Specialist

The Senior Child Health Specialist is a clinical triage pre-leadership role, with responsibility for managing incoming referrals and enquiries that come to One Stop via telephone, post and through our online portal. This senior role incorporates addressing referrals and queries that are escalated from junior members of the team due to complexity and/or risk, ensuring the safe and efficient processing of referrals to clinical services.

Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner

The Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner plays a key role in ensuring that high quality, clinically necessary care is being provided to those who need it in the most appropriate and cost effective therapeutic setting.  You will be the point of contact for clinical queries, providing appropriate advice and guidance, and navigating the right care pathway or service in a timely and efficient manner, in order to ensure the One Stop Centre operates a no wrong door approach.

Senior Triage Clinician
